2010—Sports Network All-American Third Team corner back… Also, 3rd consecutive year first-team All-Great West Conference defensive back… fourth on the team with 55 tackles (40 solo, second on team) with only 10 games played. 1 tackle for loss which was his first career sack, and intercepted two passes (Montana and Fresno State)… Returned the pick 47 yards against Fresno State.. Broke up 9 passes and defended 11 more… For the second straight year averaged over 10 yards per punt return (12.6) with a long of 37 against North Dakota… Had multiple games with over 10 tackles… Will return punts and kickoffs this year…
2009—A first-team All-Great West Conference defensive back … fourth for the Mustangs with 48 total tackles (31 solo) … 3.0 tackles for lost yardage, intercepted a pair of passes (South Dakota State and Montana) and broke up six other pass plays … returned theft against South Dakota State 47 yards for a touchdown, tying the game at 14-14 just before halftime … matched his career high with seven tackles in both the Dixie State and UC Davis contests … returned 13 punts an average of 15.5 yards, a school record … expected to handle punt returns again in 2010 and also could return kickoffs … missed 2010 Spring Game with a fractured wrist.
2008—As a true freshman notched 42 total tackles (35 solo), forced three fumbles, intercepted two passes (one in first career game as a Mustang at San Diego State, returning it 46 yards) and 10 pass breakups … other interception was against Southern Utah … three breakups against Wisconsin … seven tackles against UC Davis and six versus South Dakota State … named Great West Conference Freshman Player of the Year.
High School — Jackson rushed for 1,120 yards and passed for 963 more as a senior quarterback under head coach Andre Johansen at Christian Brothers High in Sacramento … averaged 8.97 yards per carry, completed 52 percent of his passes and accounted for 28 touchdowns, leading the Falcons to a CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoff berth … Christian Brothers was 5-6 overall and 3-2 in the Sierra Valley League … Jackson, who had six 100-yard games rushing, also recorded 45 tackles on defense … earned honorable mention All-Metro honors as selected by the Sacramento Bee and was first-team All-Sierra Valley League, the league’s co-offensive player of the year, MVP of his team, the team’s offensive MVP and a scholar-athlete award winner … as a junior, Jackson rushed for 750 yards and passed for 622 yards, scoring 19 touchdowns; on defense he notched 66 tackles and two interceptions … was listed on the Who’s Who Amongst American High School Athletes in 2008 … also played basketball, averaging 9.3 points as a junior … in football in 2006, Jackson rushed for 398 yards and five touchdowns while passing for 378 yards … in track, he qualified for state in 400 and 4-by-400 relay … seven-time Honor Roll student … visited Notre Dame (track), Georgetown (track) and Sacramento State (football) before choosing Cal Poly.
